Supervisor Pleads Not Guilty To Trafficking [Malaysia]

A spa supervisor was charged in a Sessions Court here with two counts of human trafficking. Phang Chee Kung, 55, pleaded not guilty to trafficking two Indonesian women Sonia, 24, and Endang Sekerayu, 22, by forcing them into becoming prostitutes. The two offences allegedly took place in front of a room at Golden Asean Hotel, Jalan Pudu. Phang faces a maximum of 15 years' jail and is liable to a fine under Section 12 of the Anti-Human Trafficking Act 2007 upon conviction.
