Having been to Nepal, in the late 80s and known of their social justice challenges, I might say, Nepali people I know are mostly peaceful and quite generous. They will offer you their last piece of food and water if you are thirsty. They have sometimes been through severe socio-economic conditions, severe scarcity and intense conflict/violence over economic resources. Beautiful geography, superbly hospitable culture, terrible politics and historical inequality...
